A Day Away

"Think fast!" Kevin exclaimed.
    "Hey, I don't think!" Daniel retorted while catching the bag Kevin
tossed him.  "It'll be nice to get away for awhile, won't it?" Lana
asked nobody in particular.  "And it will be nice you can join us,
Daniel."
    Daniel had come from Earth just as Captain N had, and also through
the video games like Kevin.  Daniel was close to Kevin's skill, and
some others wondered if he should lead as Captain, but Daniel stepped
down. He knew Kevin had much more experience, and Daniel didn't want to
anger him by impeachment. Daniel named off reasons why he didn't think
he was ready, and the others decided he was right.  But there was NO
way he wasn't going to be on the N-Team!
    When Daniel landed in the realm of Hyrule, he thought he had hit
his head. Hard. After a fierce battle, Daniel met the characters of
multiple video games he had played on Earth!  Simon Belmont, Kid
Icarus, and Mega Man who was visiting.  There were others from games,
but not on the N-Team.
    Daniel had been in Videoland for almost a week now, and he rarely
slept from the excitement.  He knew of the numerous evils that posed a
threat to the land.  Lana told him of Dr. Wily, and Daniel named off
others that had been defeated, particularly Mother Brain.  He was
amazed that she had been dead for awhile. He knew of the evil these
minions could cause under their leaders.  He vowed to help stop them as
part of the N-Team.  Few objections were passed when the Team noticed
the Power Pad and Zapper he arrived with.  He practiced with these,
recharging them when needed, and helped fight off the creatures that
tried to take Videoland.  Efforts in vain with the N-Team around.
    The first few battles, Daniel Creed watched from an out-of-the-way
place, much to Dr. Right's precautions.  But, after days of practice
under close observation, he was permitted to join Captain N!
    But no one knew why the Ultimate Warp Zone had brought him.
    Dr. Right knew of few rational reasons, and it remained a mystery.
He arrived after a distress signal from Hyrule reached the N-Team.
Ganondorf Dragmire, more commonly known as Ganon, had captured Daniel
minutes after his arrival.  He thought Daniel a mage and demanded him
to tell Ganon how to travel between worlds.  Soon the N-Team and Zelda
and Link drove Ganon away, introductions were passed, and Daniel
recognized most of them from video games!  Past Hyrule castle, Daniel
went with the N-Team home and underwent his training.
    Even after a week, a vacation was in order. Besides, Daniel wanted
to see some other areas of Videoland.  They planned to leave the house
for a couple of days, but Romeo, Julius, Rick, and Stacey elected to
stay behind.  They were almost set.
    "Where are we going, Lana?" Simon asked, safely tucking away his
favorite mirror.  "The land of Lufia!"  Daniel exclaimed, disregarding
who Simon asked.
     "I haven't been there before-icus."  Kid Icarus said flying by
with a quiver of strange arrows.  "Should be interesting.  Where do we
stay?"  "At the inn of a town called Tanbel."  Lana replied, tossing a
bag in the warp.  "It is run by a woman named Hilda and her brother,
Guy. Everyone is coming.
    "I remember them.  That party destroyed four evil beings known as
Sinistrals."  Daniel reminised with grin, examining his Zapper.  Mega
Man walked in then.  "Well, that everything?" the blue robot asked.
Daniel gazed at the huge pile in his arms.  "That's an understatement."
Daniel said with his jaw down.  Daniel knew that Mega Man was
incredibly strong, just like his brother Break Man.  That made Daniel
notice something.  "Where is Break Man?" he asked, glancing about.  "I
don't know.  He was right behind me!"  Mega Man said.
    "Right here." a voice came, causing everyone to whirl.  Break Man
was standing by the warp, dusting his hands.  "Thats all of it."  he
stated.
    "You mega turd!"  Mega Man said, playfully grappling with his
brother.  "All right then!  Let's hit it!"  Kevin shouted, full of
excitement.  Lana turned.  "You four sure you don't want to come?" she
asked.  Rick spoke for them.  "Na.  We should guard the house.  Maybe
we will go swimming or something."  he drifted off, gazing at the lake.
    "Ok then. Later guys!" Kevin said, jumping through the warp.
    After the blue portal accepted the last member, the watcher of the
shiny mirror smiled with a mouth of crooked teeth.  "Excellent."

    "Hello Artea!"  Daniel yelled waving at the blue-haired elf.  "Um,
hello.  Do I know you?"  Daniel and Artea conversed walking down the
sidewalk, leaving the group after he put his bags in his room.
"Hilda!" Lana greeted, signalling for her to come over there.  "Hi
Lana!" she said, and the two hugged.  Hilda picked up a few bags to
assist the others and entered the inn.  Break Man returned first,
amazed at the surroundings.  "Wow!" he said while admiring the forest
and mountains and on the horizon.  "This place is..."  He cut himself
short to dash over to the main square, where two men were in contest
with weapons.  The first had blonde hair and a sword, while the second,
with blue hair, was equipped with an ax.
    "Had enough, Dekar?" Guy said in quite a fix.  "Me?  I am winning!"
Dekar said, countering a lunge.  "Hilda walked up with Lana, and said,
"Don't you two ever get hungry?  Dinner is in a few minutes.  Dekar and
Guy exchanged glances.  "Well, maybe sometimes....." Dekar said,
grinning at Guy.  He placed his ax under his other things.  "Yeah."
Guy said while sheathing his sword.
    "Oh my!" a small blue haired girl said, sitting next to an older
looking man in a lab coat who was tinkering with a small device.  "You
are the princess of Videoland, I presume?"  Lana, assuming the voice
wanted her attention, looked in the direction. "Yes, thats me."  Lana
said with a smile and seated herself.  Simon noticed the young girl,
and ran over taking her hand and kissing it.  "I am Simon Belmont,
famous vampire hunter. And you are?"  "Tia." she said through a blushed
smile.]
    Kevin walked by then.  "I assume you have met Tia and Lexis."  He
said looking at the small device Lexis had in confusion.  "You must be
Lexis."  Mega Man said, offering a hand.  "Correct." Lexis said,
shaking the hand.  "Hey, are you the famous Mega Man?" Lexis asked
giddily.  "Sure am." he replied.
Lexis almost dropped the black object.  "You are?!? Mega Man, I have
heard all about you. You are a scientific miracle!"
    "Yeah, bioroids are rare." He said. Break Man walked by, getting
Mega Man in a headlock.  "But not extinct." he choked off, motioning to
Break Man.  Dekar, Guy, Link, Zelda and Kid Icarus joined then.  "Nice
to meet everyone."  Lana said.
    "Too bad Maxim and Selan couldn't be here."  Dekar said.  Tears
formed on the rims of his eyes, but went no further.  He wiped them
away with frustration.  A huge explosion cut off everyone's conversing.
 "Aaaaaaaggggggghhhhhhhh!" Came a voice, which floated away with a ball
of light flying northwest.
    "THE SINISTRALS?!?" Dekar shouted, suddenly angry.  "Guy ran to the
inn and looked inside.  He pulled out his head and yelled, "They took
Hilda AGAIN!"  Guy waved his fists high.  "We have to stop them!" he
stated, pulling out his sword.
    Daniel and Artea rounded the corner then.  "What the hell WAS
that?"  Daniel asked between short breaths. Artea was concentrating.
Then his heart almost stopped.  "Sinistrals?" he asked.  Daniel came
up.  "No way!  You guys beat them!"
    "Thats what we thought." Tia said.  "How can we ever hope to defeat
them without Dual Blade?"  Daniel asked.  "The sword is thousands of
feet under the ocean!"  Dekar almost snapped his ax's handle.  "We have
to try."  He said completly serious.
    "Lexis we need Excerion." Daniel said. "Can you go to Portravia and
get it?"
    Lexis smiled. "Yes Daniel!  To Doom Island!"

    Meanwhile, at the N-Teams home, multicolered dragons were trying to
secure to house.  The four were outside instantly.
    Stacey reacted first, throwing her boomerang hard and fast.  It
glanced off the thick scales, but she kept trying, undaunted.  Rick
barely pulled of any shots from his Super Scope with all the dogding of
fire.  Romeo got out his remote, but was pinned by a gold dragon.
"Dammit!" he yelled out of frusteration.  Julius threw his football,
but couldn't do major damage since the heavy dragon landed on it, dead.

    Suddenly a flash of blue light engulfed the whole area, and the
four were looking into a blue field.  Then in another flash, they were
in a city full of flowers. Julius looked like he was drooling.
"Duh.......Duh?"  "I feel the same way." Rick said looking about.  Just
then, a white flash fell from the sky, startling the others.  The
figure materialized into a man.  He began to walk by.  "Sir?  Do you
know where we are?"  Romeo asked, admiring the flowers.
    "You are in Portravia.  Sorry, but I am in a rush here....."
    "Portravia?" Stacey said.  "The N-Team told us about this place.
The land of Lufia."  The man stopped.  "The N-Team?"
    "Well, yes.  They left, and we were to guard the house.....Oh No!
It is unguarded!" Rick said.  Stacey continued.  "We were fighting some
dragons, then we fell through a blue light, and, well, we ended up
here."
    Lexis pulled out a small communicator. "Dr. Right?" he said. After
a moment, a reply came. "Yes? Oh, hello Lexis." he said.  Lexis turned
at the strangers and said,  "Is the N-Teams home under attack?" he
asked.  He saw Dr. Right turn and press a few buttons.  "No everything
is fine."
    "Could you watch it for awhile?" Rick said. "Sure thing. Dr. Right
out."  "But, those dragons....." Stacey mulled, concerned. "We have to
find the N-Team!"
    "I am going to them now!" Lexis said. "Need a lift?"  "Sure!"
everyone said, with an additional 'duh' first for Julius.
    Little did they know how literal Lexis was.
    Excerion turned into an airship and flew back to Tanbel.  Rick
almost puked.  "This is great!" Romeo said.  "Ah, our stop." Lexis
said.  Rick jumped out more than fifteen feet off the ground.  Lana
dashed over to him.  "Rick!  What happened?"  she knew they wouldn't
have left home against Lana's word.
    "We were fighting dragons, then a burst of light, then we were in
Portravia.  Glad we met Lexis"  Stacey smiled at the scientist.
    Lexis stepped up.  "Look, Doom Island is nowhere to be seen and my
Kymograph didn't even flich.  It is still in the ocean."  He paused.
"But, the Ancient Cave is pouring monsters!  They will surely destroy
Gruberik if we don't hurry!"
    "We have to go then!"  Link said, boarding Excerion. "Yeah!  Let's
go!"  Dekar said while joining him.  All hopped on, and toward the
Ancient Cave they went.  Introductions and events were passed, and all
felt ill.  Not for the altitude, but because of the fear of all the
Sinistrals on the move again.  They could have easily been the most
evil creatures ever known.  They each had a quality humans
feared-Destruction, Chaos, Death, and Terror were what they had
mastered.
    Past a cloud bank, Gruberik could be seen.  And it wasn't pretty.
As they desended, hundreds of monsters pooled around them, waiting.
They were soon attacked by monsters ranging from dragons to undead to
cyclopses.  They fought for several minutes, no side gaining an
apparent advantage.  Suddenly a hideous laugh rose from the battle.
    "We defeated you Gades!" Arty shouted.  "We KILLED you!" Guy chimed
with pure hatred.  "Ha.  Your pathetic efforts are going to be rewarded
with defeat.  Arek the Absolute has brought us back!"  Gades eyes
glowed red as he mentioned the last part.
    "How? That is impossible without Erim!" Lexis said.
    "Sorry, but if I told you, I would have to kill you.  But, I may do
that anyway."  Gades said through hooked teeth.  Lexis now had his back
to Gades, speaking with Dr. Right.  Link was infuriated.  "CHARGE HIM!"
he shouted at the top of his lungs.  Link, Dekar, Mega Man and Arty
dashed to the Sinistral of destruction.  Gades held up a hand encased
with a dark purple light and shouted, "DESTRUCTO-WAVE!" A little purple
ball with white lines flew forth and exploded, bringing the group of
four to their knees.  "Now anybody else who tries the same will be
totally destroyed!  Throw down your weapons!" Gades ordered.
    "Don't! We can beat him, just don't.....GAG!" Dekar trailed off
when Gades put his blade to the champion of Bound Kingdom's throat.
Dekar struggled, which only made Gades look more powerful.   Everyone
else tossed down their weapons.  "Much better." he gloated.
    But Tia was preparing a spell.  She thrust her arms forth and
shouted "PHEONIX!"  The air turned instantly orange, trailing with
orange-white sprinkles. Then the Firebird appeared, screaming as it
burned Gades.  Then on its ascent, a line of explosions headed straight
for Gades, and he dropped his sword, burned.  Then the air returned to
normal again.
    Everyone picked up their weapons immediatly.  Kevin and Daniel shot
their Zappers, Rick shot his Bazooka, Julius sent his football straight
for Gades, and Break Man fired a fully powered Break-Buster shot.
    Gades teleported out in a ball of light, hit only by the earliest
shots.  He yelled, "First the mer-people, then the volcano, next
Parcelyte, then the WORLD! HAHAHA!" Guy ran at the ball of light with
his sword in the air, but was to late. Gades then flew south,
illuminating the sky. With his exit, all the monsters simply returned
to the Ancient Cave. Hilda staggered forward, weakened.
    "Oh man! The Sinistrals back?!?" Daniel paced back and forth
staring at the ground, and punched an open hand. "They have to stopped,
and NOW!  You guys know the carnage they leave!"  "Yes we do." Arty
said. They were still in Gruberik, leaning against buildings. Lana went
pale, saying "But the Sinistrals are never satisfied. After this, they
may attack all of Videoland!"
    Lexis returned from a meeting over the communicator with Dr. Right
he started during the battle.  "Dr. Right and I know how Arek has
revived the Sinistrals." Lexis took a breath, steadying himself. "The
Potion of Power." "NO!" Kevin and Link said at the same time.  "But,
the Potion's energies have run out, so he salvaged the remaining energy
in the Mirror in the Tower of Truth."
    Zelda was deep in thought.  "That Potion once revived Ganon to full
power. All four Sinistrals at total strength could...." she trailed
off.  Well, dont worry, your highness." Guy said with confidence. "We
did it once, we can do it again!"  Guy stood up. "Yeah!" he slapped
Dekar a high five.
    Arty seemed less sure. "But then we had Maxim and Selan, not to
mention.......Dual Blade." Arty had tears forming in his eyes, but he
angrily wiped them away.  "The Sinistrals will PAY for taking two of
our friends!"  Arty was clenching his bow so hard his knuckles were
white.
    Lana walked over to Arty then.  "But Arty! Your vision was hurt at
Doom Island....." Arty held up a hand, stopping her.  "Hurt. Not gone."
he said. "Not yet, anyway. That is another reason I want to make haste.
 Daniel came forward in thought. He wanted to comfort the others, since
they had lost Maxim and Selan."Well, we cant disappoint our friends,
can we?"  Everyone simoltaneously yelled "NO!" He stared into the sun.
"Your efforts wont be in vain." Daniel felt like he knew them. He put a
fist to his heart, and waited. After a moment, he lowered it and said,
"We have to split up. Gades was dumb enough to tell us where he
intended to attack." Kevin was thinking. "Maybe not. He may want us to
come......"  "Good." Dekar said, eyes narrow.  "OK then. Lets
see.....Zelda, Break Man, Dekar, and I will go to the Tower of Truth to
destroy the Mirror.  Next, I want Guy, Kid Icarus, Link, and Mega Man
to guard Parcelyte.  "Right!" Link said.  "Hmmm.....Lexis, Tia, Stacey,
Simon and Romeo warp to Chaed and keep an eye on the volcano.  That
leaves you guys. Rick, Arty, Lana, and Julius go to Preamarl and
protect the mer-people.  Go with them Captain N." Kevin nodded,
spinning his Zapper in one hand.
    "Lets take Hilda back first." Guy said, supporting his sister with
one arm.  "Great. More air." Rick muttered. Lexis patted him on the
shoulder. "Its OK. Preamarl is underwater." Rick threw up his arms.
"Oh, thats a relief!" he said sarcastically.  "Lets go!" Link held up
his flute. He was lucky he brought his duck, so it could quickly fly
them to Parcelyte.  Tia warped her party to Chaed, and the other two
groups boarded Execrion, since none onf them could cast Warp.

    "Daos, they are going to ruin our plan!" Arek shouted.  "Do not
worry, master. We have a suprise for them....." he trailed off,
laughing hideously as he teleported.

    Almost immediatly upon their arrival in Parcelyte, the castle was
roaring in an immense seige.  They began to attack some of the
strongest, some dragons and elemental genies.  Link occasionally used
some of his red potions to heal the wounded, but now was busy against
some Leeches and Archfiends. He used his magic carefully and his sword
constantly.  "I wish I had thought to bring the Master Sword." he
gritted as he fought bravely.   Mega Man was very careful to avoid
damage, since these enemies didn't drop energy capsules, and Link's
potions wouldn't work on a bioroid.  Kid Icarus assisted the Blue
Bomber with a band of Grianos, as did Guy.  Kid Icarus saw a small
shadow on the ground grow big, and he looked up screaming, "LOOK OUT!"

    After dropping off the group to the Tower of Truth, Exercion dove
into the ocean to go to Preamarl. They saw a group of enemies going for
the city of Mer-People, and went faster. They arrived and docked,
heavily attacked.  Captain N shot down some Sea Hidoras, but more were
coming.  Arty used his bow against some Sea Horses, which always hit
all enemies.  Lana borrowed a zirco rod from Arty, and she and Rick
fought Currents and Evilfish. Julius fought some White Whales. Arty
sensed some strong energy-evil. He turned to see what he felt, and
gasped. "Amon!"

    Lexis, Stacey, Romeo, Simon, and Tia arrived at Chaed, which was
being rebuilt from the Sinistrals last attack.  Lexis checked on the
volcano and was shocked. "Oh my goodness!" he shouted, pointing out the
volcano swarmed with enemies and Daos. He was causing earthquakes to
loosen the rock and cause an eruption.  "Lets get him!" Simon yelled,
starting up immediatly.  The others joined him, but were slowed by some
Magma Gorems, Dragons, Behemoths, and small landslides from the
loosening top.  They fought their way up, but Daos raised a hand and
shouted "STOP MORTALS!"  they did, knowing what would happen if they
tried to attack.  "One more step and this Quake spell will cause the
volcano to erupt and bury everything under us in tons of lava and ash!"
he was stalling so more monsters could arrive. As they threw back the
monsters, Stacey said "Look! He's gonna do it anyway! Stop him!"  With
that, they dashed at the Sinistral of Terror.
    Suddenly a powerful earthquake rocked the whole of the mountain,
and lava sprayed up and crashed into the side, racing down for the city.

    The Tower of Truth was causing some good sized troubles to the
other party as well. They had to fight off Serfacos, White Dragons, and
Seirens as well as the Tower's many puzzles.  They finally made it to
the top, and unlocked the door using the Truth Key, and walked into the
room with the Mirror of Truth.
    "So all we gotta do is break it?" Dekar queried. Daniel gazed into
it. "Yup."
    Everyone heard a soft whine, and turned to see Break Man leaning
against the wall with his arms crossed and a cocky smile on his face.
He was charging up his arm cannon. "Thats my specialty." he said.
    The room filled with an eerie light, and a figure appeared."Erim!"
Dekar identified the Sinistral of Death immediatly, and his ax was in
his hand just as fast.  Erim unsheathed her sword and said, "If you
wish to destroy the Mirror, you must first defeat me. Daniel looked
sad. "Erim.....You can't do this! Dont you remember? At Doom
Island....."
    "That was the past!" Erim snapped. "I have my orders. You must
accept the fact that I am a Sinistral, the very embodiment of evil.  I
cannot change. "But you CAN change!" Daniel blurted, remembering the
battle of Doom Island.  When the Sinistrals were defeated, Daos had the
Island to fall onto Seim Island, where Parcelyte sat.  Maxim was alone
with the body of Selan, who died when the energy barrier ruptured her
body.  Daos's aura showed up to gloat to Maxim at how the Island was
going to fall onto Parcelyte, and Then Erim showed up, but her aura was
in the form of Iris, her good alter-ego.Maxim asked her how to avert
it, but Erim refused. Maxim pointed out how she was Iris now, and she
was stunned to note he was right.  She told him to destroy the three
mystic stones, but Maxim used all his energy along with Dual Blade to
accomplish it, and died himself. His and Selan's souls flew out to see
their friends, and then went to Heaven.
    "Enough!" Erim remembered, but pushed the thoughts aside. "Do you
wish to face me?"  "Erim, we don't want to, but the Sinistrals must be
stopped!" Daniel said. Erim took that as a yes, and raised her sword
and shouted "DARK FRY!" a black ball flew forth, charged with lightning
and exploded at the party.  Break Man shook off his daze, and still
with his charge shouted "Aw, bite me!" and shot his fully powered
plasma blast.

    Guy looked up on Kid Icarus's warning, and grabbed the two to roll
out of the way of the fallen arrow turrent.  "Gades!" Link yelled,
furious. "You're gonna pay for this!"
    Gades let out a vile laugh. "I can do whatever I wish, Hyrulian
warrior." he once again cast Destructo-Wave, knocking over another
turrent. The party avoided it successfully, but it crushed some
monsters. "Blast it!" Gades yelled, and hopped down from his perch.
Link and Guy met him halfway, Mega Man was charging, and Kid Icarus
readied a special arrow. As Mega Man had to wait for what was
agonizingly slowly for the energy to build in his cannon, all the magic
he had seen reminded him of the three pixies he met, Zunder, Bleu, and
Blaze. He had helped them get back to their world, and they taught him
and Break Man that such good-naturedness that the two robots had even
would greatly benefit the side of good. Out of the entire deal, The
Blue Bomber and the Red Raider's arm cannons power were increased.
    Now Mega Man knew he would need every ounce of energy he had.
    Guy was attacked by Gades, and his IP, an energy that builds as
anger when you are attacked and can let certain equipment unleash
special effects, was totally full. With this, he drew out an incredibly
powerful weapon, the Sky Sword. It was a rare item found in the Ancient
Cave.  He held it up and yelled "SKYSPLITTER!" This IP let him attack
all enemies, including Gades with one slash, and the ones remaining
were hit with the Thunder spell. When this occured, a dark blue sky
with a black mountain appeared, and the Thunder Monster flew down while
small streaks of white light flew up. Gades screamed in pain as he was
intensely electrocuted.
    Kid Icarus shot his odd arrow with a red glow, and it struck
Gades's shield. "Ha!" he yelled, but Kid Icarus was grinning. "Huh?"
Gades said, then yelled "Aaaaaahhhhh!" he threw down his shield, and it
was incinerated. "YESSSSSS!" Kid Icarus held up his bow in triumph.
"Good job, Pitt!" Link said, then Mega Man shot his plasma blast. It
struck Gades full in the chest. He stood up shakily and yelled
"Retreat!"
    He teleported out, and the monsters left the city without
leadership. The entire castle cheered, and Guy realized what they had
to do now. "Alright! to the the Tower of Truth! We have to help the
others!"

     "I see you haven't forgotten, elf." Amon said, readying his staff.
 The Game Master whirled, firing down the Sinistral of Chaos.  Rick,
Arty, and Lana ran through the ankle-depth water to begin battle.
Julius couldn't help there, since his football would fry the others
too, so he help back the enemies.
    Arty knew the major weakness of a sinistral. Light. So, he prepared
the strongest light spell. He clasped together his hands, and yelled
"ZAP!" as with Thunder, the mountain and dark sky formed, but now a
small triangle in a circle formed below, spinning. Light balls flew
everywhere, then it all vanished and the balls bombarded Amon. He
rolled to the ground, hurt. Rick shot his Super Scope, occasionally
stopping to use his Power Pad to avoid attacks.  Amon held up his hands
and shouted "CHAOS WAVE!" a white ball with green mist around it and
columns of light shot everywhere, and Lana felt a wave of dizziness.
She dropped her rod and asked "Wha?"
    "Oh, no!" Arty yelled. "He confused her! She may attack us!" a
Confuse spell would make someone attack at random, either friend or
foe. She picked up the rod, and strated for Rick, who dodged her
attacks. Kevin ran up to her, and shook her hard. "Lana! Its me?
Captain N!" he put his hand around hers. "Its Kevin." he said with a
smile. "Unnnngggg. Kevin? Ohhhh, Amon! Hurry, or he will get away!"
Kevin did hurry, and shot Amon quickly with his Zapper.  Julius
motioned them back out of the water, and threw his football. Amon, not
knowing what it did, caught it. "ARRGGGGGHHH!!!" he yelled as he was
encased with electricity. He went to the ground limply. Everyone
cheered as the monstres fled, fearing they might do the same to them as
Amon. During the confusion, Amon teleported out.
    Everyone spun in time to see him flying away. Captain N yelled "The
Mirror! It has to be broken!"

    As lava poured down the mountain, the enemies were mainly
destroyed, except for the Magma Gorems, of course, who kept coming.
"Ha! you can't stop it now!" Daos laughed. Lexis closed his eyes, and
yelled "ICE VALK!" Instantly the mountain turned dark purple, and the
Ice Queen was there pouring down snow and sleet on everything Lexis
wished. "Yeah Lexis! DRAGON!" Tia shouted, and instantly the Water
Dragon was there send ing the mountain into a small flood. The steam
from the lava rose, and Daos teleported out knowing he had lost.  No
one could see him go.  When the steam left, everyone saw at how the
Magma Gorems were standing knee-deep in the rock, frozen to stone
statues themselves. "Now that is how to sculpt!" Stacey shouted, and
everyone got on Excerion again to head for the Tower of Truth.

    By the time Lexis's group arrived, the other three groups were on
the cold marble floor completly motionless.  Three of the four
Sinistrals were laughing at the feeble efforts.  "Hahaha! They are all
that remains! Kill them!" Daos ordered.
    But Erim stood ther while the others proceeded.
    "No. Stop." Erim said, eyes shut. The Sinistrals turned. "Are you
delerious?" Gades asked. "Come on Erim! They are all that stands
between us and domination of the universe!"
    "SILENCE GADES!" Erim yelled furiously at his reflection in the
Mirror.  "All of you! We can't rule a world with such tyranny! Don'y
you see?!? Don't you understand....." she was cut off as Gades and Amon
threw her to the other group.  Erim stood and shouted "VALOR!"
everyone was encased in a soft green light, and all their energy was
restored, somehow even Mega Man and Break Man's.  "Wha?" Dekar said,
running a hand through his blue spiked hair.  Everyone was shocked to
find that Erim had cast it. She said "Come on! We have to stop them!"
Daniel raced over to Erim and said "I knew you could do it, Erim." Erim
smiled at him and said, "Iris, the giver of life!"
    Daos was extremely angry to here that. "OK Erim. The fact that you
are my sister will be forgotten, for you must also perish!" With that,
Daos drew a glinting sword with another small blade sticking out of the
side of the sword.  "Dual Blade!" Daniel shouted. "How did you get your
evil claws on it?"
    "I simply went to the bottom of the ocean into Doom Island, and
retrieved it! You now will never stand a chance!"  Daos held up the
sword of legend, and an energy wave surrounded the three Sinistrals,
encircling outward.
    Then a flash of light occured, and a pink and blue ball flew into
the room.
    Slowly they took form.
    "Ma....MAXIM!?!" Dekar said, completly stunned. "And Selan!" Daniel
noted his wife too.  Maxim and Selan smiled at their friends, and said
"Hello." then the two figures turned to face the three Sinistrals.
"Daos! Amon! Gades! You will be obliterated for misusing Dual Blade and
practicing such raw evil!"  Maxim held up a hand, and in a flash the
three remaining Sinistrals were on the floor, Dual Blade floating
above. It hovered over to Daniel and landed in his grip, ringing
loudly.  Daniel jumped, but retained his grasp. "Wha...What a RUSH!
It's overwhelming!"  Daos stood, shocked, and said "ANOTHER human
making Dual Blade ring?!? Impossible!"
    But it did ring.
    "Attack!" Daos yelled, and they charged. Erim cast Dark Fry, but it
was weak against the other Sinistrals, because they thrived on
darkness, so she went through her other spells to find a stronger one.
Link held up a medallion with flames on it. he shouted "BOMBOS!" he
jumped up, and thrust his sword into the ground, and a wall of flames
hit the Sinistrals followed closely by explosions, dazing the evil
beings. Break Man and Mega Man shot off their charges at the same time,
slamming into Amon and knocking him down. Guy, Simon, Lana, Zelda,
Link, Dekar, Lexis, Arty, Kid Icarus, attacked with weapons, Captain N
and Daniel shot, Daniel the lesser, because Dual Blade caused so much
damage. Tia tried to cast spells, and Rick, Julius, Stacey and Romeo
fought with their weapons as well. Dekar pulled out a sword like the
Sky Sword, but it was the Fry Sword. It was charged with light. Dekar
used his IP, and shouted "SIZZLE!" They were all attaked with one fell
swoop, and then they were hit with Zap.  Then he jumped up and landed
shouting "BLASTMASTER!" all the Sinistrals were hit with a flame attack.
    But they were losing. Daniel took a blow and rolled, turned and
yelped when he saw the Sinistrals reflections. The creatures in that
Mirror were so hideous that Daniel looked away instantly. He was going
to attack, but then he remembered. "The Mirror!" he said. He tossed up
Dual Blade, caught its handle backwards, and threw it at the Mirror
like a spear. It smashed the Mirror of Truth. Daniel immediatly
realized what he had done. "Oh no! ERIM!"
    Everyone ran over to her. She and the other Sinistrals were
flashing back and forth intensly, lines disappearing here and there,
lightning charging through their bodies. Daos, Gades, and Amon faded
out of their lives with a scream, and the balls of black light thrust
into the ground under the Tower.  Erim stood there, though. "It is best
this way, friends." she stated to the awestruck group. "Better I die
than an entire world.  Maxim floated over to her. "Erim. Thank you for
fixing your ways."
    "When the Mirror of Truth showed me as Iris, I realized what I had
done.  The others are going to Hell for their ways. I will go to
Heaven, but I can never forgive myself for what I had done in the past.
Thank you all for showing mr the way." Erim said.
    Maxim smiled at her. "Thank you for seeing it."
    Daniel felt his hand go numb, and he realized he still had Dual
Blade. He looked up. "Maxim. Please return Dual Blade to Doom Island.
This way nobody will ever be tempted by its power, and it can never be
lost." he presented the sword to Maxim, who took it. Then he, Selan,
and Erim turned into balls of light and flew outside the Tower, their
balls the purest white. One flew into the sea, then resurfaced after
moments, and the three spun around some and returned to fly into the
sun.
    Daniel was the first to speak. "That is why I was brought here.
Dual Blade knew of the impending danger, and needed another wielder to
it." Lexis pondered that for a moment. "Makes perfect sense."
    "Captain N, can I stay with you and the N-Team?" Daniel was 15, and
Kevin was a little older, but they enjoyed each others company. "Sure
Daniel." They slapped high-fives, and Tia cast Escape. Everyone once
more boarded Excerion, and began to fly back to Tanbel. On the way, Guy
said, "I wonder if dinner is ready yet?"

At the end Captain N and the Video Game Masters play the music from
entering a kingdom, and then the soft, sad music from the very end of
Lufia 2 in Tanbel.
