To start 2003, there's a rather big update today.
The first thing that I did was get rid of the outdated warp to The Captain N Forum that Webster had made me put up. I removed it from the main page and the Table of Contents. I also added 40 new quotes to the main page! They're from "KEVIN IN VIDEOLAND", "HOW'S BAYOU", "MR. AND MRS. MOTHER BRAIN", "VIDEOLYMPICS", and "MEGA TROUBLE FOR MEGALAND". See if you can find them all!
In the Picture Gallery, I added 21 screen captures for "SIMON THE APE-MAN" and 13 more screen captures for "HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MEGAMAN".
Screen captures 14-20 from "THE RINGER" seem to have disappeared. If anyone has them, please let me know.
In 2001, I didn't do much about Captain N. I was rediscovering other favorite old series. I didn't write any new Captain N fanfics. That August, this site (and quite a few other Internet accounts of mine) were hacked into by a petty jerk that thought that this site, having a lack of updates, was a "disservice" to the fans. Whatever. I soon put the site back up, but, unfortunately, my old site location was under the control of the hacker and, while keeping the Entrance section mostly the same, deceptively linked to Webster Sterling Swenson's site, The Captain N Network. Paraphrase of Webster to me: "No, Mark, I did not hack into your website! Believe me, I tried, but I just couldn't pull it off! Mark, I wish I could take credit for this, but I can't! I have no idea why the hacker chose to link to my site! But it makes sense, because our sites are the two biggest Captain N sites around, so, naturally, he'd think that mine is better than yours! I got an e-mail from the hacker, and he sent me a ZIP file of all of your e-mail from Mandi Paugh. Since he sent it to me, I naturally assumed it was important, so I read it! I have no idea why the hacker sent me your private e-mail! I have no idea why the hacker made me the owner of your webring! Mark, stop accusing me of hacking into your accounts! You're committing libel against me!" Okay, you get the picture.
In 2002, this site went through a huge revival. (Can I hear an "Amen!"?) I reviewed 8 more episodes of Season 1 and the first issue of the Captain N comic book series. I wrote 5 commentaries on the Captain N fandom and a lengthy essay. In total, over 750K of new information was added to the site. I'll try for a meg next year. Most of the fanfics were put back up. I added 41 new screen captures (from "THE BIG GAME") and restored 2 lost screen captures (from "Videolympics"). All of this was done despite a hard drive crash.
This growth will continue in 2003. I plan to put the music back up soon. I will put up more screen captures and pics of merchandise and advertisements. I will finish reviewing Season 1, review Seasons 2 and 3, review the rest of the comic books, review the Zelda episodes, and write more commentaries. I'll also be adding more info to neglected areas of the site, such as Errors and episode novelizations. The future looks good for Captain N.

Today, shortly before 2:00 PM, at work, a coworker gave me Archie Digest Magazine, No. 127 (5/94), 154 (4/98); Archie's Double Digest, No. 69 (12/93), 73 (8/94), 84 (4/96); Betty and Veronica Digest Magazine, No. 51 (10/91).
Today, at 5:00 PM, after I got off work, I stopped by Warren's. I got Witchblade, Vol. 1, Issue 59 (10/02) and Spider-Girl, Vol. 1, No. 52 (12/02).

On Thursday, at 5:00 PM, after I got off work, I stopped by Warren's. I got Archie & Friends, No. 51 (10/01) and Catwoman # 11 (11/02).
Today, shortly after 12:00 PM, I went to the post office and then stopped by Warren's. I then went to the shop at the flea market. I got Action Comics # 700 (6/94); Action Comics Annual # 5 (1993); Superman # 77 (3/93), 128 (10/97); Superman: The Man of Steel # 24 (8/93).
I removed a bunch of broken warps from the Warp Zone and updated and added others.

Today, at 5:00 PM, after I got off work, I stopped by Warren's. I got G.I. Joe comic book, Issue 10 (2002).
I removed a bunch of broken warps from the Ultimate Warp Zone and updated and added others.
The site is still exceeding bandwidth limits, so I removed a lot more of the pictures from the Picture Gallery.

Someone hijacked my Captain_N nick on DALnet as well as the #Captain_N channel. Gee, I wonder who. Anyway, the chat is cancelled, and I removed the Chat page.
I removed a lot of the pictures from the Picture Gallery, so the site won't keep exceeding bandwidth restrictions and becoming unavailable all the time.
I changed the Episode Reviews section to the Reviews section and added a review of Captain N #1!
I've added The Captain N New Fanfic FAQ, a document that describes the upcoming new fanfic series.
The warps on the main and Table of Contents pages have also been updated.

At 7:45 PM (or second earlier) today, I happened to be in the kitchen, cleaning up after eating dinner, and I heard a clue in the first round of "Jeopardy!". I was about a singer, who went by the name "Long John", that had worked with Rod Stewart on an album. Simply because Rod Stewart sang "Faith of the Heart", I listened. The answer was John Baldry. The ending credits of Captain N credit someone named "Long John Baldry". This is obviously the guy that sang the songs for the show. It was by pure dumb luck that I found this out! I added a mention of it to the Music Listing and Lyrics section, as well as a link to his music on Amazon.com.

As the first update of 2002, I added a review of "How's Bayou".
I got rid of some bad links in the Ultimate Warp Zone.
I added a new page called Episode Reviews. The review for "Kevin in Videoland" is up.
Let me explain. On August 21, I noticed that the entire site, except for the index page, had been deleted by a hacker. Today, I noticed that that, too, had been deleted. So, I got another account at Tripod and put up the site again.
A Lot of stuff probably doesn't work right yet. I'm going to update the site frequently of the next few days (and possibly even today): putting up my new e-mail address, getting rid of bad links, etc.
The one thing I did do so far is gotten rid of the poll for the new series, since it's no longer needed. Please check back soon for more updates.
